I started my business at the urging of friends and family to broaden my audience after years of bringing desserts to gatherings.
I have been baking for over 15 years and it is truly a labor of love. A fiercely independent child, I insisted on making my own cakes rather than be a helper to my grandma. Since I couldn’t reach the table my grandma pulled down the dishwasher to create a lower workspace for me. Though my grandma will confirm my first cakes were time consuming I continued baking and with some great family role models I learned the touch. Many of the recipes you will find on this site are recipes passed down from my grandmas, great-grandmas, aunts, and mom. They never took shortcuts and taught me that with some hard work and a lot of love you can achieve your dreams (and make some pretty delicious treats).
